Homemade Ice Cream
I found a recipe for homemade ice cream that kids can make in a ziplock bag. Which I thought was perfect for these hot summer days. All you need is 1/2 cup of whole milk, 1T. of sugar, and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. That is for one serving.
Mix ingredients in a sandwich size ziplock bag. Fill a large/gallon ziplock bag halfway with ice and add 6T. of rock salt. Put the small bag inside the large bag and seal it. Then just have your kids shake it. The recipe said it would take about five minutes. I had to help the kids shake it after a few minutes because they got tired, but sure enough when we opened the bag we had ice cream. They loved it.
