Standing Indian Camping Trip

Friday night we took our kids on their first official camping trip.  It was a blast!  I mean it.  We had a really good time.  We went to Standing Indian campground near Franklin, NC.  It was beautiful and the weather was perfect for building a campfire.
Pav setup a sleeping tent for the kids in the back of his truck, and he and I stayed in our own tent.  We told the kids they could stay up as late as they wanted, but then we got tired and had to make them go to bed.  I loved listening to them giggle in the dark, on their s'more sugar high.

Sawyer got to carry the "real gun" on our camping trip.  It's just a BB gun.  He carried that gun the whole time, and told us he would protect us from bears.
There were several hikes in the area, but we just strolled along the creek.  As much as I loved the weather for camping it was too chilly to let the kids play in the water, but we did skip rocks and found a couple crawdads  Ever Joy had us each find a rock we liked and line them up, this was easier than trying to build a cairn which had no chance with Zoe around.
