Spring has brought North Carolina some beautiful weather this year. It is only March and we already had our first lake day. The water is still low and cold, but we enjoyed walking in the sand all around the edge looking for arrow heads and other treasure. Sawyer was sure that the water would be warm enough to swim, he is dying to get in. It's one of those things you can't convince them until they feel it themselves.
We were surprised to see so much damage around the lake from the tornadoes that came through a few weeks ago. A swath of huge pine trees became a jungle gym for the kids to climb through. It was a shame to see such beautiful trees knocked down.
