Northwest

Here are a few snippets of our time in Oregon and Washington.  We took a lot of photos, most of which have goofy expressions and tongues sticking out (Sawyer).  These are a few of my favorites.

We were able to spend a few days at the Oregon coast with my grandparents, parents, and brother's family.  We rented a large home right on the water.  It rained and poured the entire time we were there, just like it is supposed to...
I attempted to recreate some childhood memories, which didn't go so successfully, but in the meantime our family made some new ones which I will cherish.
Zoe touching a starfish for the first time
Sawyer saying that the ocean water tasted like sugar
Ever Joy being pummeled by waves just to get up laughing hysterically.
This was the first time Pav's family in Washington had met our kids.  From the pictures you can see that our kids warmed up quick.  We had a wonderful time hearing stories and laughing.

The bulk of our time was spent in Portland, Oregon with my brother and his family.  We got into the city for a Christmas Eve candlelight service, an unforgettable dinner, a huge toy store, and well of course coffee.

The vacation was full of catching up with family, seeing how they've grown, and sharing old times.  We saw and went many places, but my most memorable times will be the simple things that each of these pictures capture.  The faces of excitement, the wonder, the sweet smiles, the people I love.

Thank you again Mom & Dad.
